Grip & Go is an action packed indoor climbing activity centre for all the family. Based in Rossendale, Lancashire we offer an experience like no other. Adults and children from age 4 and above can scale our 21 walls of fun, adventure and skill…. and if you’re feeling really courageous complete the ultimate challenge and attempt the Leap of Faith.

Whether you’re a beginner or a climbing expert, Grip & Go has something for everyone. Most importantly parents, grandparents, guardians and carers can join in the fun too! Or sit back, relax and enjoy a cup of tea and a cake in our Grip & Go café.

Adrenaline123 24 people at a time per a 1 hour slot. We also have 2 function rooms available to use for 45 minutes after the climbing
sessions are completed. We can provide catering at an additional cost.

How can I book a slot?

To ensure a slot on your preferred date and time, pre-booking is advised. This can be done online via our booking system, by calling in at Adrenaline or contacting 01706 227016 where the receptionist will secure your booking.

If you wish to book a party/group or corporate day please contact emily.cryer@rltrust.co.uk or contact the centre on 01706 227016. Alternatively you are welcome to call in and speak to a member of our staff who will be happy to assist.

Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your session time to make sure reception has the required information for all climbers and the health and safety briefing session is attended.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring the waiver form filled out with all of the climbers’ personal details, which is available to download from your confirmation email. Additionally this can be collected and completed from the centre upon arrival.

If a climber is under the age of 14 there will need to be a parent/guardian accompanying them throughout the session (In the spectators area or climbing).

How old do I have to be?

The climbing wall is accessible from 4yrs and is available for adults and children to use.

Children below the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the briefing and remain in the building for the duration of the session.

What to wear?

Climbers are required to wear clothing which allows movement whilst using the climbing walls, this is to ensure comfort and enables the ability to move freely. Any hoods/scarves or head wear will not be permitted on the climbing wall for health and safety reasons.

Sensible footwear should be worn (trainers or pumps). No open toe shoes or professional climbing shoes allowed. Please note climbers must check there is no dirt on their shoes before entering the arena.

We strongly advise against wearing any form of jewellery as it may get damaged or cause injury. We have lockers available throughout the centre for personal belongings.

Do I have to have experience?

There are only a handful of climbing activities like Grip & Go in the country so it is a unique experience accessible for beginners or advanced climbers. No prior experience is necessary.

We have 18 walls available, all with a variety of different methods of climbing, so go at your own pace and most of all enjoy!

How long do the sessions last?

Our climbing sessions last for a total of 75 minutes, with 60 minutes of climbing. Once you have signed in at reception you will be escorted in to the briefing room where a 15 minute health and safety induction will be conducted along with harness distribution and checks.

When the climbers and instructors are ready the climbing begins!

What can I do whist I’m waiting?

Within metres from the climbing wall we have a brand new café serving snacks and refreshments for all the family. This is a great place to watch your loved ones climb or simply have a bite to eat when climbing sessions are complete. We also have a fully equipped fitness suite, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, Laser Tag and Roller Skating – Something for all the family!

Is the climbing activity safe?

We take special measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers starting with our 20+ instructors who are highly trained in aspects of climbing and first aid. We have a state of the art auto belay system offering a smooth vertical decent from the walls. We also have harnesses to fit all.

When do I need to arrive?

Climbers must arrive at the centre 10 minutes before their session starts to ensure all paperwork is filled in correctly. There are changing and locker facilities within the premises for anyone wishing to use them.

For example: If you are booked on to the 4.30pm session you will need to arrive no later than 4.20pm to complete your permission forms. The briefing will start at 4.30pm and climbing will take place 4.45pm – 5.45pm. Late arrival may result in refusal of entry into the climbing wall until another session becomes available.

PLEASE NOTE: All climbers should wear
clothing which allows movement to climb in (please try to avoid hoodies) and sensible footwear on the climbing walls (no open toe shoes).

Climbers below the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an
